Each of our structures is hand crafted using traditional methods of carpentry and joinery. We can create many different finishes with the timber we use depending on the look required, as an example, many of our structure’s main timbers are hand finished with specialist tools to give a rustic look.

Posts and beams can be hand carved with various designs and details and once the timber has been worked it is then tanalised (pressure treated to GFb standard) so that the entire piece of timber is fully treated, joints and all. We also provide an optional staining and oiling service to suit customer’s needs, again, depending on the required look.

Although pressure treated soft wood is the most popular choice for

garden structures, we can also provide various other timbers such as oak and cedar, but if you have a specific variety in mind then please ask and we will do our best to source the required materials.

The roofs of our structures can be supplied in various ways depending on the required look and budget. The most basic can simply be feather edged boards which would give ideal sun shade and some protection against rain. A step further would be tongue & groove boards (which would be seen from the underside) covered with roofing felt and then feather edged boards over the top which would be completely water tight. For the best protection we can substitute the roofing felt for a fiberglass (GRP) layer that will give trouble free water tightness for many, many years. We can also supply tiled roofs using natural slates, clay tiles or concrete tiles.
